Job Title: AIM Document Scanning Tech
Department: AIM Production
Reports to: AIM Document Scanning Supervisor/AIM Service Center Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
JOB SUMMARY
To operate digital imaging equipment in the production of image acquisition from a variety of source documents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Receives, processes, and maintains work orders for document scanning and imaging services including reading and understanding the work order prior to starting the job.
· Scanning hard copy documents, following project operating procedures.
· Operate document scanners and related equipment.
· Understand the equipment and perform some routine maintenance, make suggestions regarding settings, paper handling, quality improvement, etc.
· Monitor material usage and assure the necessary types and quantities are available to complete the tasks at hand.
· Keep your work area picked up, swept clean and free of potential safety hazards.
· Studies production schedules and estimates hour requirements for completion of job assignments and informs the Supervisor of any requests that can’t be met.
· Inspect finished work for image quality, density of line, position, count and sizes.
· Perform any other tasks, duties, or functions directed by the Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITES & EXPECTATIONS
· Assure the job is done correctly and to the highest degree of quality, accuracy and satisfaction.
· Follow guidelines set forth in standard operating procedures.
· Notify your supervisor immediately if you notice any equipment malfunction, or deviation from quality control parameters that have been established. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of service produced.
· Report mechanical failure for technician repair to the Supervisor.
· Be a team player.
· Maintain a courteous and “can-do” attitude with internal and external customers.
· Be available for temporary assignment to other branches when needed.
· Assist in other departments when necessary.
· Attend occasional company-wide meetings and or training.
· Abide by all company rules and regulations, including those set forth in the Employee Handbook.
· Conscientious and consistent effort to quickly and accurately complete each task according to the company’s productivity standard.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - Profile
· Ability to process, comprehend, and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
· Through knowledge of materials and equipment utilized in the document imaging processes.
· Ability to read, write, and speak English.
· Ability to make arithmetic computations at a level appropriate to the duties of the position.
· Experience equivalent to 0-1 year of experience performing document scanning work.
· Must attend new hire safety training orientation and re-attend periodically as directed.
· Attention to detail.
· Ability to understand and communicate job-related information clearly and concisely.
· Ability to effectively promote the products and services of the company, as well as assist both internal and external customers.

Ability to visualize quality and condition of source documents, grasp, lift and set down objects of moderate weight (up to 35lbs) on a regular basis. Able to stand for long periods of time and work in noisy surroundings. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
WORK CONDITIONS
· Work overtime when necessary and only when approved. Overtime is a condition of employment.
· For safety reasons, earbuds are not permitted and should not be used while working in production.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of static discharge from various machine usage. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
